This highly anticipated event, following sell-out success in Canberra, Melbourne, and Sydney, brings the magic of a mountain ski resort right to the heart of Adelaide. Imagine indulging in a traditional Raclette feast – oozing melted cheese, cured meats, and all the trimmings – while nestled in a cozy igloo. Sounds dreamy, right?
But the experience goes beyond just the food. Picture gentle “snow” falling upon arrival, the warming aroma of mulled wine, and twinkling fairy lights setting the scene for a truly magical evening. Each of the 14 igloos, named after famous French ski resorts, offers an intimate setting for you and your cheese-loving crew.
French-speaking staff will greet you, adding to the authentic atmosphere, and a Raclette Guide will be on hand to ensure you get the full Raclette experience, from mastering the art of scraping that gloriously gooey cheese to the perfect accompaniments.
“Raclette isn’t just a meal – it’s a French tradition of sharing, laughter, and indulgence,” says Vincent Hernandez, Raclette Igloo Founder and Director. “We bring that same warmth and joy to Adelaide, allowing people to create unforgettable memories together while indulging in lots of cheese.”
Speaking of cheese, there’ll be plenty of it! Up to 2kg of Raclette cheese, sourced straight from the French Alpine regions, will be waiting for you, alongside a selection of cured meats, boiled potatoes, pickled onions, and cornichons.
To complement this hearty feast, each guest will receive a glass of mulled wine (alcoholic or non-alcoholic), the perfect pairing for Raclette. And for those who want to elevate the experience further, there’s a mini bar stocked with French wines and other beverages (available for purchase).
But the fun doesn’t stop there. After devouring that cheesy goodness, head outside to your own private fire pit and roast marshmallows to gooey perfection. It’s the perfect way to end the night, sharing stories and laughter under the twinkling Adelaide sky.
The Raclette Igloo Experience is an event not to be missed. Tickets are on sale now for groups of 6 or 8 people, so gather your cheese-loving mates and book your spot. Get ready to melt into a winter wonderland of French culture and flavour, right here in Adelaide!
