Adelaide’s streets will light up once again as SAHMRI’s BRIGHT Walk returns on July 6th, 2024. This annual event brings together thousands of South Australians in a night-time walking challenge to support vital medical research.
The BRIGHT Walk is an 11-kilometre walk that begins at sunset and continues well into the night, guiding participants through some of Adelaide’s most iconic locations. Starting and finishing at SAHMRI’s distinctive “cheese-grater” building, walkers will experience the city in a whole new light—literally. The route is designed to be both challenging and enjoyable, with plenty of opportunities to take in the sights and sounds of Adelaide after dark.
The event is more than just a walk; it’s a community movement aimed at raising funds for the South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute (SAHMRI). Participants are encouraged to gather sponsorships from friends, family, and colleagues, all of which go directly to supporting SAHMRI’s cutting-edge research.
