The take-home meals are designed for convenience and ease using the best of local ingredients and a melting pot of cuisines at “restaurant-equivalent”, allowing those with busy lifestyles to simply pop in and pick up portioned meals to indulge in throughout the week, and are particularly popular throughout the cooler months.
Embodying the catering empire that owner and creative director, Anna Gerlach built at just 25 years old. Now, 25 years on, Anna celebrates this milestone by sharing dishes like Strewth Ruth stew an “old-fashioned” beef stew recipe that her mother-in-law, Ruth, passed onto her. As well as meals like “Anna’s Bolognese”, Asian-inspired Choo Chee chicken, Italian-classic prawn zingarella and desserts like apple and rhubarb crumble.
Other meals on the new winter menu include:
- Beef Vindaloo – the juicy slow cooked beef vindaloo is served with oven baked cauliflower, roasted capsicum, fried onions, zingy lemon yogurt drizzle and smashed coriander salsa.
- Honey and chilli tiger prawn linguine paired with charred broccoli and basil.
- Vegan coconut saffron curry with sweet maple glazed pumpkin, golden roasted chickpeas and fried kale.
- Slow cooked meatballs which are served with a rich housemade sauce and topped generously with grated parmesan.
Anna’s trailblazing catering business employs around 40 permanent and casual staff members and at any one time, can have 30 events with 30 different menus. IFD specialise in crafting bespoke menus that are tailored to suit all occasions and all clients. Anna and her team have had the pleasure of working on incredible events over the years, including:
