Style & Spirit: The Fashion of Chester Weinberg | The David Roche Foundation

Location

The David Roche Foundation
241 Melbourne Street, North Adelaide

08 Nov 24

Style & Spirit celebrates the inspiring creativity of American couturier Chester Weinberg (1930–1985). His considered and comfortable clothes were highly sought after, until his career was cut short when he died from AIDS-related illness in 1985.

In this glamorous celebration of style, co-curators Skye Bartlett and Timothy Roberts have selected more than 50 of Weinberg’s best creations from the 1950s to 1980s. These are displayed alongside pieces by his contemporaries Cristóbal Balenciaga, Christian Dior, Pierre Cardin, and André Courrèges.

See the fashion, learn his story.

We would like to acknowledge the Kaurna people as the custodians of the lands and waters of the Adelaide region.
