Award-winning photographer and artographer, Antoinette Hunter-Causby’s work celebrates women, showing that beauty and strength grow with age.
Hunter-Causby’s empowering exhibition, 50 Over 50 Portrait Experience, will be held at Rapsimo (72 King William Road, Goodwood) on Friday, 29 November.
Each image begins with a strong foundation – through expert lighting, guided posing, and capturing the true spirit of her clients’ personalities. Hunter-Causby’s meticulous editing allows each piece to tell a personal and compelling story, reflecting the individuality of every woman she works with.
The artography style, which Antoinette uses, blends traditional photography with modern digital design. This innovative art form emerged in the early 21st century as photographers and digital artists began experimenting with new ways to merge classic techniques with digital creativity.
With more than 20 years of experience in bridal and family portraits, retail and fashion shoots, corporate branding, and more, Hunter-Causby’s 50 Over 50 Portrait Experience holds a special place in her heart as a woman over 50 herself.
“Every woman deserves to be seen, celebrated, and reminded that beauty changes and evolves with time,” Hunter-Causby says. “It carries wisdom, resilience, and our unique life stories. This series is not just about portraits – it’s a movement.”
The photographs show that age doesn’t diminish beauty, rather adding layers of depth. Many of Hunter-Causby’s clients describe the experience as transformative, helping them see themselves in a new, more empowering light.
Beyond the photos themselves, Hunter-Causby also captures the stories behind each woman – what defines her, her sources of strength, and how she sees beauty.
