Danish Cord: Bar Stool

Jam Factory

In this eight-week introduction course, students will be guided through the use of machine and hand tools and weaving processes to create a solid timber bar stool and Danish cord woven seat under the guidance of JamFactory’s Head of Furniture Studio, Andrew Carvolth.

Participants will be shown how to shape and join timber in the construction of a unique stool frame out of Tasmanian blackwood, and use Danish paper cord to weave a robust and distinctive seat in the tradition of many Danish, Scandinavian and Mid Century Modern furniture designs.

All necessary materials are supplied. This course is suitable for complete beginners.
