Save the Queen with an exclusive screening

The History Trust of South Australia is hosting a special event to celebrate 30 years since the release of The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert.

On Sunday, 8th of September, head to the Piccadilly Cinema in North Adelaide for an exclusive screening of this iconic film.

The evening kicks off with a cash bar, followed by a pre-screening show featuring local drag performers, including Vonni and artists from Mary’s Poppin. Plus, the film’s original Executive Producer, Rebel Penfold-Russell, will take part in a Q&A session, offering insights into the making of the film.

Then, settle in for the 30th Anniversary screening of Priscilla, a film that has become a key part of Australia’s cultural history.

This event isn’t just about revisiting a classic. Part of the ticket proceeds will go towards the Save the Queen campaign, aiming to restore the original Priscilla bus to its former glory for an interactive exhibition at the National Motor Museum of Australia in Birdwood.

Tickets are limited for this one-night only event. Whether you’re a long-time fan or new to Priscilla, this is a night you won’t want to miss.
