Relive the classics: Australia’s rock icons in concert

Relive the golden era of Australian rock with music legends in The Good Old Days of Rock ’n’ Roll, a one-night concert event in December 2024.

The pioneers of Australian rock ’n’ roll are coming together once again in a special concert, marking the first time in 60 years that these icons of music will share the stage. The Good Old Days of Rock ’n’ Roll promises a trip back to the golden era of music, featuring legends like Little Pattie, Digger Revell, Jade Hurley, Dinah Lee, and Lucky Starr. Presented by Bob McKinnon, this unique show will relive the authentic sounds of classic rock and pop – no tribute acts here, just the original stars themselves!

This show brings back memories from television sensations like Johnny O’Keefe’s Six O’Clock Rock and Brian Henderson’s Bandstand, programs that made household names out of these artists. Between them, the performers have over 70 years of history in the industry, with countless hits that they’ll deliver just as fans remember from decades past.

Bob McKinnon’s the The Good Old Days of Rock ’n’ Roll is set for 14th December 2024 at Her Majesty’s Theatre. Tickets are already available, with prices starting at $119. Audiences will get the chance to sing along and relive their youth as the ‘cream of the crop’ in Aussie rock take to the stage once more.

If their past shows are any indication, fans are in for an unforgettable experience. As Ron Lee of Sydney Chic Magazine noted, “I’m not sure when and where the The Good Old Days of Rock ‘n’ Roll will next be staged, but if the 686 people who filled the auditorium [at The Pavilion Performing Arts Centre Sutherland] and gave rousing ovations had their way, it will be sooner rather than later.”

This one-night-only event promises a brilliant throwback to where Australian rock ’n’ roll began. Don’t miss this chance to celebrate the sounds that defined an era and still have the power to fill theatres and delight audiences.
