Adelaide’s hottest mobile festival, Block Party, is popping up in a brand new location, this time bringing the good vibes to The Port. Open Friday 12 to Sunday 14 May, this all ages community event is sure to be a hit for the whole family!
‘We’re back with a huge all-weather inclusive event, we cannot wait to bring the Block Party to Port Adelaide!’ says event organiser Jason Brocklehurst. ‘Located at the iconic Harts Mill and surrounding laneway, it’s a great day out for the family, with a huge DJ event thrown in for the party goers.’
Best of all, it’s free to enter all weekend, plus there’s plenty of free car parking available.
Festival goers will be spoiled for choice with tasty treats from more than 10 of Adelaide’s best food trucks, including El Gringos Mexican Street Food, Uncle Doc’s, La Flame, Beyond India, Soza’s and Bonnie’s Vegan Van, The Sky Doodles, plus Combi Coffee Bar providing all your caffeine and espresso martini needs.
Catch a fire show after hours with iconic performers Dragon Mill. And lace up those roller skates and get your skate on at the rink.
The kids zone will be a hum of activity for little ones – they can play in the arcade, get their faces painted, go roller skating or try their hand at circus skills with PLAI. All access passes just $5 daily.
Adults can relax at the bar with Woodstock Wine, South Ave Seltzer or Vale Brewing, while football fans can watch their favourite AFL teams live on the big screen.
Local western suburb legends The Lunar Society & DJ Checkers will get the crowd going on Friday night, with the addition of a huge once off 18+ Warehouse Party. Tickets are $10 presale* with a drink on arrival, or $15 at the door on the night. Attendees without a ticket to the Warehouse Party can still enter the free part of Block Party for food trucks, bars and AFL streaming.
Mums and grandmas this is your perfect place to chill on Mother’s Day weekend and to top it off, you’ll also receive a free glass of sparkling wine on Mother’s Day if you arrive between 12pm and 1pm.
