Fleurieu Food Festival returns this August

Fleurieu Food Festival returns for a third year running, bringing an influx of tourists to enjoy over 50 culinary events that showcase the variety of food and beverage producers and businesses across the region.

Presented by Fleurieu Food, the program includes masterclasses, tastings, feasts and more, showcasing the breadth and depth of the Fleurieu Peninsula’s world-class food and beverage producers.

The festival offers small businesses and producers, such as local farms, cafes, restaurants, wineries, breweries, distilleries, and community spaces, the opportunity to offer premium experiences and connect with local, national, and international tourists.

Some of the program highlights include Candyland – The Mad Hatter’s Tea Party at Bec Hardy Wines, where Chef Connor Bishop will take guests on a journey of decadent sweet treats.

A walking tour through Ashley Park farm, which is one of eight that produces award winning pasture-raised eggs under the feather&PECK label, will give visitors further understanding about regenerative farming.

For those that love a boogie, at Ekhidna Wines will host a Winter Glitter Ball with live music by Funk Fusion where proceeds from ticket sales support the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

Fleurieu Food Festival Board Chair, Todd Steele, said, “With a range of wineries, breweries, farms and producers, the Fleurieu Peninsula is one of the best regions in the country for food and wine and we’re so excited to package up all the highlights across one month.

“This year’s festival showcases such variety and I encourage everyone to check out the program and mark their diaries with multiple events to ensure that they experience the depth that the Fleurieu has to offer.”

The event is proudly sponsored by Community Bank Fleurieu, the City of Onkaparinga and Victor Harbor council’s, Office and Image, and the Willunga Farmers Market and is also supported by South Australian foodie icon and Ambassador, Katie Spain
