OZIN, a fine dining restaurant that combines the best of local Australian ingredients with international flavours, officially launches Tuesday, 4 February.
The name OZIN reflects the restaurant’s unique fusion concept – “OZ” for the best of local Australian produce and “IN” for international cuisine. OZIN is all about charcoal-infused dishes, bringing a smoky depth to a menu that spans global flavours, offering a fresh take on fine dining.
Set in a heritage building on East Terrace from the 1920s, the restaurant blends history with modern style. The original floor and wall tiling honour the property’s past, while the contemporary design creates a warm, elegant atmosphere that highlights the building’s character.
The story behind OZIN
More than a decade ago, OZIN co-owner Neeraj Kumar arrived in Adelaide with little more than a dream and a suitcase. Over time, he found his second home, his love, his mentors, and a future.
Driven by hard work and determination, Neeraj learned a new language, earned a Masters in International Hospitality Management from Le Cordon Bleu, completed an MBA, and worked in management roles across various hospitality venues. Now, he’s proud to bring OZIN to life.
“OZIN is more than just a restaurant,” says Neeraj. “It’s a celebration of global culinary traditions, focusing on high-quality local ingredients and the unique flavours that come from charcoal cooking. It’s about embracing Adelaide’s vibrant food culture and offering a space where people can come together for something truly special—a cultural and sensory experience.”

The talented OZIN chef Vicky, with 25 years of experience across India, Germany, Dubai, Kuwait, and Australia, leads the kitchen. Having worked with a range of international cuisines and at a celebrity restaurant in Dubai, chef Vicky brings a creative approach to the menu. Each dish—from expertly charred meats and vegetables to mouthwatering global flavours—is designed to offer a unique culinary journey.
The cocktails at OZIN are just as carefully crafted, designed to complement the charcoal-infused flavours of the menu. Whether you’re enjoying a pre-dinner drink or unwinding with friends, OZIN’s cocktails promise to add a refreshing twist to your dining experience.
