Adelaide Hills winery, Sidewood Estate, has been recognised at the prestigious Wine Industry IMPACT Awards for its commitment to providing unique and memorable experiences for visitors, while showcasing the beauty and culture of the region.
Sidewood was awarded in the Wine Tourism category at the awards established by the Wine Industry Suppliers Association to recognise initiatives that make a positive impact on the Australian grape and wine industry. These awards highlight outstanding collaborations and innovative ideas that improve the sector’s sustainability, global competitiveness and capability.
Sidewood’s Owner and Vigneron, Owen Inglis, says “we offer more than just wine tastings”.
“We’re incredibly proud to be recognised by such an esteemed industry body for our tourism efforts,” Owen says. “We aim to create authentic, immersive experiences that connect visitors with the land, the craft, and our team,” he adds.
The award celebrates Sidewood’s ongoing investment in sustainable wine tourism, innovative food and wine experiences.
“It’s a tribute to the hard work of our whole team and the strong relationships we’ve developed within the industry,” Owen says.
This latest win follows a year of major accolades for Sidewood, including taking home the top three awards at the 2024 International Cool Climate Wine Show (ICCWS) for Best Wine in Show, Best White Wine in Show, and Best Australian Wine with their 2023 Mappinga Chardonnay.
Sidewood also won the top prize in two categories at the 2025 Great Wine Capitals Best of Wine Tourism Awards: Culinary Experiences and Sustainable Wine Tourism Practices, plus a long list of other achievements.
