Urban Kitchen returns to Rundle Mall

Rundle Mall's Urban Kitchen is back, ready to tantalise your taste buds during this year's Tasting Australia festival.

Rundle Mall’s Urban Kitchen is offering an extensive lineup of cooking demonstrations and masterclasses, and ensures a feast for all, with tickets starting from just $12.

From 3rd to 12th of May, the Gawler Place Canopy will buzz with nearly 40 live cooking demonstrations, making it the largest Urban Kitchen program yet.

Highlights include an exclusive Mother’s Day brunch demonstration by Adelaide’s own MasterChef contestant and clinical nutritionist, Malissa Fedele. Malissa will whip up a mood-boosting brunch featuring pancakes with spiced almond butter and berry compote, alongside a refreshing smoothie. Attendees can also look forward to nutrition tips and a group mindfulness session to round off the experience.

For spirits enthusiasts, Red Hen Spirits’ owner and distiller, Anthony Vallelonga, will uncover the secrets behind his award-winning gins in a captivating masterclass, offering a tasting journey of four distinctive gins.

Wine lovers can elevate their appreciation with the RIEDEL Wine Glass Experience, delving into the impact of premium glassware on the wine-drinking experience, while gaining insights into the company’s rich history spanning over two centuries.

Sweet-toothed visitors will delight in Koko Black Head Chocolatier’s exclusive demonstration, showcasing how to craft treats like whipped caramel mousse praline and chocolate hazelnut cake.

Throughout the 10-day event, Sprout will conduct live cooking demonstrations, providing home cooks with the opportunity to learn for just $12. These sessions will feature flavourful combinations and recipes showcasing South Australia’s finest produce.
