Outback gin distillery, Flinders Gin, has won two awards for its artisan gins made with natively sourced botanical ingredients from South Australia’s famous Flinders Ranges at the World Premix Awards 2023.
Flinders Gin’s Outback Lemon and Lime Gin and Tonic won Silver and its Quandong Gin and Tonic won Bronze for Taste in the Spirit & Mixer categories.
Outback Lemon Lime Gin partners Tangy Desert Lime with the gingery citrus of native lemongrass, while Quandong Gin carries the zesty sweetness of ripe citrus, finishing with herbal notes true to a native peach. Both gins are mixed with Flinders Gin’s custom tonic tincture.
Master distiller Alby Trotta said he was thrilled that “our passion for the flavours of our Flinders region and our skill in gin making were recognised”.
“These awards are a testament to the quality and care we put into every bottle and can of Flinders Gin. We couldn’t be prouder of our small team and really appreciate the support of our regional community as well as all of our customers.”
In addition to the World Premix Awards win, Flinders Gin was a finalist in the 2023 Telstra Best of Business Awards for South Australia in the sustainability category.
