Race Director and inaugural Santos Tour Down Under winner, Stuart O’Grady, along with Assistant Race Directors, Annette Edmondson and Carlee Taylor have designed a race which offers it all.
This year’s race includes nine unique routes which will challenge the world’s best men’s and women’s riders and give locals plenty of opportunities to soak up this international event.
From iconic beaches, picturesque Adelaide Hills and the sweeping Barossa and McLaren Vale wine regions, this race will share the best South Australia has to offer with viewers around the world.

Tour Village

Where: Victoria Square/Tarntanyangga (North)
What: The new-look Tour Village is the heart of the action and the perfect place to meet for a drink and stay for a meal. Free to enter, it will feature ample seating, premium local food and beverage options, live entertainment and music, daily panel discussions, cooking demonstrations and a full program of family entertainment.
Cycling Expo
When: Friday 13 to Saturday 21 January
Where: Victoria Square/Tarntanyangga (Centre)
What: Touch and feel the latest technology and innovations from the biggest brands in cycling. Held in an all new air-conditioned pavilion, the expo will feature a fully programmed stage for participants to learn from the experts.
Team Zone
When: Friday 13 to Saturday 21 January
Where: Victoria Square/Tarntanyangga (South)
What: For the first time in Santos Tour Down Under history, women’s and men’s teams will be showcased side by side in the team zone. Go behind the scenes to watch the mechanics work, spy your favourite rider, or attend a signing.
Team Presentations

What: Meet the 2023 Santos Tour Down Under riders for the first time when they are presented to the public – followed by the opening concert.
San Remo Family Tour

What: See the champions of tomorrow take on part of the UCI WorldTour street circuit just hours before their cycling superheroes. Don’t miss the chance to get your kids or grandkids involved.
Challenge Tour

Where: Norwood – Campbelltown
What: Take part in the Santos Tour Down Under and ride a stage of the race just hours before the professionals. Tackle some of Adelaide’s toughest climbs and for the first time ride the Challenge Tour on closed roads.
Street Parties and activations

Trek Night Riders

What: Watch Australia’s best elite domestic cyclists battle it out. Grab a beer and listen to DJs for a night-time city criterium with our National Road Series best riders.
Santos Best Dressed Town

What: Open to all towns, schools, businesses and households along the race route on all stages, communities get involved in the competition to be best dressed and become part of the excitement for the first UCI WorldTour event of the year.
