Brain & body protein powder and sleep in older adults

About this study

Getting a good night’s sleep is important to support mood and brain functions such as memory and attention. In Australia, people are living longer than generations before them resulting in an ageing population. The ageing process can interfere with an individual’s sleep quality and as such, it is important to explore whether nutritional interventions might be able to improve sleep quality in older adults. This study aims to investigate whether poor sleep quality can be improved by increasing dietary intake of phospholipids and an essential amino acid found in dairy products called tryptophan.
