Have you got The M Factor?

A woman sits on a rock, gazing out at the vast ocean under a clear blue sky.
The M Factor: Shredding the Silence on Menopause, a groundbreaking documentary that will empower and educate the 1.1 billion women worldwide who will be in menopause in 2025, screens at Piccadilly Cinema on Saturday, 29 March.

The time has come to break the silence, challenge the stigma, and demand that menopause be treated with the respect it deserves. It’s about creating a society where women are prepared for and supported through their menopause journey, whether that be in the workplace, at home, or in healthcare settings.

One of the key forces leading this movement is The (M) Factor: Shredding the Silence on Menopause, a powerful documentary that shines a light on the real-life struggles of women facing menopause across the U.S.

The film follows women as they share their personal stories, taking viewers into doctors’ offices, workplaces, and homes to reveal the barriers they encounter – from gender-biased healthcare to institutional neglect. Through candid interviews, women speak about their frustrations with inadequate treatment, being dismissed or misunderstood, and facing deeply ingrained cultural taboos.

But it’s not all doom and gloom. The documentary highlights the progress that is being made to address these issues. Featuring contributions from passionate physicians, healthcare advocates, and leaders in the menopause movement, The (M) Factor offers a hopeful look at the steps being taken to fix the broken system.

This documentary gives a voice to the women who are too often silenced, offering a platform for their stories to be heard and respected. It’s time for menopause to be recognised not as an obstacle, but as a natural part of life that women can thrive through with the right support, understanding, and care.

The (M) Factor: Shredding the Silence on Menopause screens at Piccadilly Cinema on Saturday, 29 March at 2:30pm. Get your ticket here.
